Care for Seniors
Black and racialized seniors who are actively involved in their health and wellbeing are more likely to successfully age well at home. Seniors from across the GTA who identify as Black are welcome to participate in peer-led programs at no charge.

UBUNTU Village Project
UBUNTU is a Zulu word and Africentric principle, which translates as “I am who I am because of who we all are,” which empowers self-determination for you, as a senior member of our community.
Black and racialized seniors who are actively involved in their health and wellbeing are more likely to successfully age well at home.
These programs are entirely peer-led and welcome seniors to participate at no charge.
Seniors Programs and Services
The UBUNTU Village Project consists of various peer-led programs and initiatives supporting connection between TAIBU’s clients and the GTA’s Black community.
UBUNTU Village Project programs support mind, body and soul, helping seniors feel connected to the broader Black community. Activities stimulate creativity and generosity through new skills development for greater fulfillment and a healthy lifestyle.
