TAIBU Community Health Centre, in partnership with community stakeholders and supported by a $1.3M Ontario Trillium Foundation grant, proudly presents two key reports developed under the From School to Success Project (FSSP).
These reports are the result of deep community engagement, evidence gathering, and a commitment to systems change that reflects the voices and needs of Black youth.
Black youth not in employment, education or training (NEET): A literature review, December 2019
This foundational review synthesizes Canadian and international research on Black youth who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET). It identifies key trends, systemic causes, and cultural factors contributing to their exclusion, and lays the groundwork for responsive programming.
Factors that Impact Disenfranchised Black Youth Experience with Education Employment and Training in Ontario
This final report captures the lived experiences and insights of Black youth across Ontario, alongside parents, caregivers, and service providers. It explores the impact of systemic barriers and highlights innovative, community-based solutions tested through the FSSP project.
